When I picked up this 45-and-a-half hour audiobook, I thought that there was no way I was going to get through it. Here we are then.

Collected here are the books set at Castle Blandings, following nicely on from the third PSmith book, Leave it to PSmith. The same characters come back frequently, Lord Emsworth and his sister, his secretary the Efficient Baxter, along with a rotating cast of friends and relatives, making for a charming and witty set of books, with a surprising high frequency of plots surrounding stealing Lord Emsworth's pig.

I must say that for me I think Wodehouse is at his best in the full novels, rather than in short-story collections - of which there are two here. All are goods, but when I observe the threads of a classic Wodehouse farce coming together, mistaken identity, a priceless jewel, a lovelorn heart, my heart sings.
