The Murder on the Links

I believe I preferred the Murder on the Links - the second Poirot novel - to the first. While the first was a classic old mansion poisoning (or not) case, this was a body found in a shed on some golf links, and there was some who-was-where-and-when going about, a love interest for Captain Hastings too, which feels true to the classic formula.
Something about this one felt more practical - it wasn't in chemicals or in who was about, it was evidence and position. Perhaps this is something that's a bit more Holmes than Poirot - the latter being a bit more attached to psychology than practicality - but nonetheless I enjoyed it greatly.
